How microlending could end extreme poverty
A small boost in microlending in the developing world could lift more than 10.5 million people out of extreme poverty.
Currently Quanda Zhang is a PhD Candidate and Researcher in Economics at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University). Quanda's research area is in development economics with a focus on inequality, poverty, financial inclusion and international development. His research applies rigorous econometric techniques founded on sound economic theory in order to formulate evidence-based economic and social policy recommendations aimed at improving conditions in developing countries.
