Raja Chatila

Raja Chatila, IEEE Fellow, is Professor Emeritus of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Ethics at Sorbonne University in Paris.
He holds a PhD for the University Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, France.
He is former director of the SMART Laboratory of Excellence on Human-Machine Interactions and of the Institute of Intelligent Systems and Robotics. He contributed in several areas of Artificial Intelligence and autonomous and interactive Robotics along his career and is recipient of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Pioneer Award.
He is chair of the IEEE Global Initiative on Ethics of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems and co-chair of the "Responsible AI" Working group of the Global Partnership in AI.
