This is the link between voting in elections and income
Research shows that extra income for children who grew up in households in the bottom 50% of the income distribution were more likely to vote as adults than those that didn't.
Randall Akee is an Associate Professor at UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. He is currently a David Rubenstein Fellow at the Brookings Institution. He completed his Ph.D. at Harvard University in June 2006. Prior to his doctoral studies, Randall earned a Masters degree in International and Development Economics at Yale University. He also spent several years working for the State of Hawaii Office of Hawaiian Affairs Economic Development Division. His main research interests are labor economics, economic development and migration.
