Robbert van Eerd is a US-trained international economist working for Sustainalytics, a Morningstar company, advising institutional investors on ESG and sustainable finance. He previously worked for the OECD in Paris, France and the World Bank in Washington, DC. In recent years, he has focused on the nexus between the public and the private sector. Robbert is an enthusiast believer in the private sector as a driver for innovation, sustainability and social change. Since 2021, he serves at the Global Shapers Alumni Council. Previously, he was curator of the Paris Hub (2019-2020). Robbert joined the community in 2018.
Robbert obtained a liberal arts bachelor's degree at University College Utrecht, Netherlands, and a master’s degree in international economics and international relations at the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC. Robbert is professionally fluent in English and Dutch and proficient in French and German. In his free time he enjoys sailing, hiking and traveling to new cities and countries.
