Rose Caldwell is CEO of Plan International UK, an international NGO that strives for children’s rights and equality for girls. With over 20 years of senior leadership in NGOs, Rose is driven by her desire to help create a better and more equal world, where every child and young person can reach their full potential and has the opportunity to raise their voice to help shape the world around them. A chartered accountant by background, Rose spent 10 years in the private sector, before working with an INGO in Burundi, Rwanda and Zimbabwe. Rose currently chairs the International Broadcasting Trust, is a trustee of the Disaster Emergency Committee and has previously been on the board of BOND, her local school and various other charities. Rose is committed to change the current workings of the global aid system and has joined with other INGO leaders to develop the Pledge for Change initiative. Rose is based in London with her partner and three children.
