Ross McKenzie is Director of Corporate Affairs at Drax Group where he is responsible for overseeing Drax's reputation-building efforts and stakeholder relationship management worldwide. Leading a global team of internal and external communications and policy experts, and community outreach teams.
Ross supports Drax's strategic growth objectives by driving advocacy for the urgent need for carbon removals to achieve Paris climate goals. Having previously grown Drax’s global presence as an innovation leader in the position of Director of International Affairs.
Prior to joining Drax, Ross worked as a policy and political advisor to several British politicians in the Scottish, UK, and European Parliament. This experience has been invaluable in shaping his strategic planning, policy formulation, and government relations skills, which are critical to driving Drax's stakeholder engagement forward.
With a deep passion for sustainability and a sharp focus on enhancing Drax's reputation as a thought leader and innovator in the field, Ross remains committed to advancing the company's purpose.
Originally from Scotland, Ross holds a degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Aberdeen
