Dr. Sharon Abramowitz is an assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology and the Center for African Studies at the University of Florida. She is medical/social anthropologist conducting research on the West African Ebola Outbreak, post-conflict reconstruction, African health systems, mental health, and gender-based violence. As a consultant for UNICEF, Sharon has lead comprehensive qualitative research-based analysis of UNICEF Ebola Community Care Centers (CCC’s) in Sierra Leone.
