Shyamak has previously led the Audit & Assurance practice in India, and was a member of the Global Audit and Assurance Leadership Team. He has also led the Consumer Business industry vertical in India.
He has extensive industry experience, particularly in the consumer business, manufacturing, automotive and automotive components, metals and mining industries. He has led audit and assurance engagements for significant local and multinational entities and has also been involved in due diligence reviews, business valuations, international offerings and Sarbanes readiness work.
He contributes articles to the Press and has been a forum speaker on technical topics concerning consumer business and retail trends in India. He has also spoken on a number of occasions on IFRS and Ind AS topics.
Shyamak is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor, a Company Secretary, and a Commerce graduate from the University of Mumbai.
