Holding a solid background in Pharmacy and an MSc. in Public Health, Somto's work is driven by a commitment to improving healthcare systems and outcomes. She has worked on public health projects in over 20 African countries, focusing on strengthening immunization systems, responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, and promoting health tech innovations. She has also authored several peer-reviewed articles and grey literature.
In recognition of her expertise, she has been nominated to serve in several advisory roles, including as the African Regional Director with the International Working Group for Health Systems Strengthening.
