Africa has a COVID-19 time bomb to defuse
The international community should invest in all countries needing help to stop the virulent march of coronavirus around the world.
Tolbert Nyenswah is a senior research associate in the department of international health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He was Liberia’s deputy minister of health for disease surveillance and epidemic control from 2015-2017. As the incident manager for the Liberia Incident Management System for 2014-2016, he managed the multinational team responding to the world’s largest unprecedented Ebola outbreak. He is a member of the Global Health Index International Panel of Experts, which assesses the overall health of nations globally based on a multitude of health indicators.
