Dr Speight is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Civil and Structural Engineering at the University of Sheffield, specialising in water quality in distribution systems. She investigates the linkages between physical, chemical, and biological reactions in pipe networks to understand and model public health impacts. She is also Managing Director of the TWENTY65 research consortium, which focuses on disruptive innovation for water systems of the future.
