Virginia Di Nino is an economist in the Emerging Markets and International Trade Division of the Banca d’Italia since 2007. Before joining Banca d’Italia she worked at the Graduate Institute, Geneva. She obtained her Ph.D. in International Trade from the Graduate Institute, Geneva. Her research interests focus on the determinants of international trade flows, especially the relationship between international commercial policy, exchange rates and trade performance. She has also written about the sources of fluctuations in commodity prices and the international transmission of commodity price shocks.
