Ximena Del Carpio is a Senior Economist in the World Bank’s East Asia and Pacific Social Protection and Labor unit. Prior to joining this region she worked in the World Bank’s Independent Evaluation Group and the Human Development Network where she focused on evaluating the impact of various economic development programs in countries throughout Latin America and Africa. Prior to coming to the World Bank Ximena worked at the RAND Corporation and at the Minority Business Development Agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Ximena has a PhD in Political Economics from the University of Southern California and also holds a dual Masters in Business Administration and Public Policy.
