Women, Leadership And A Pandemic - Highlights
The COVID pandemic has shone the light on disproportionate impacts on women and girls and the increased need to prepare for a gender-responsive recovery.
At the same time, it gave visibility to a group of women leaders who anticipated successful responses and advanced the impact of women in healthcare. Studies have demonstrated that women leaders showed success in managing and controlling the sanitary crisis and gave lights to inspiring and competent businesswomen.
This unprecedented time opened new opportunities for women and brought visibility to this group of female leaders to act as a community of role models to the world and especially to the next generations. It is needed that leaders share experiences, lessons learned and challenges met, that would help redefine the transformative role of women in health and healthcare.
