This EU law will make companies check their supply chains for forced labour

The law is called the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). EU nations just backed it after prolonged debates. It will require large companies to assess their supply chains and prevent, mitigate or remedy any impacts on people and planet. Ranging from slavery, forced or child labour to greenhouse gas emissions and ecosystem damage.
