Women Talk Gender Gap: LinkedIn's Sue Duke on skills and gender
While women remain significantly underrepresented in STEM at just 29.2%, Sue Duke from LinkedIn says, “skills need to be the currency for the labour market, and that is especially true for women."
"If you go on LinkedIn today and search in Germany for an engineer lead, if you look just based on previous experience, your talent pool is going to have 14% female representation. But if you search on the basis of who has the skill to do that job, female representation shoots up to 35%.”
