This Nuclear Reactor Uses Nuclear Waste as Fuel
This video is part of: Centre for Energy and Materials
Newcleo has designed a reactor fit for the future. It’s cheaper and faster to build than standard reactors and it’s more environmentally friendly, too. Newcleo’s reactor uses molten lead as a coolant instead of water. This design is known as a ‘fast reactor’ and it can use spent uranium and plutonium as fuel.
Watch to learn more about how it works.
