44% of housework and 28% of care work will be done by machines within a decade according to a study from Oxford University and Ochanomizu University. Researchers asked 65 AI experts which domestic tasks could be automated and how much time this would save. Grocery shopping is the most automatable chore. The experts predict we will spend 59% less time on this by 2035 and 46% less time cooking and cleaning.
