Trees are on the move due to climate change

Trees are gradually migrating towards cooler, wetter regions as global warming leads to more heatwaves and droughts. Scientists analysed data from over 2 million trees from 73 species common in Europe and the US. They found trees were becoming denser in the more northerly parts of their habitat which were cooler and wetter on average.
