Schwab Foundation Social Innovators

The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship curates a community of the world's leading social innovators across sectors tackling global challenges and improving the state of the world.

Our goal is to highlight and expand leading models of social innovation in all sectors by bringing together the first intersectoral community of social innovators:

  • Social Entrepreneurs are founders or CEOs who innovatively address a social or environmental problem, with a focus on low-income, marginalized, and/or vulnerable populations.

  • Corporate Social Innovators are leaders within multinational or regional companies who drive the development of new products, initiatives, services, or business models that address societal and environmental challenges.

  • Public Social Innovators are government leaders who harness the power of social innovation social entrepreneurship to create public good through policy, regulation, or public initiatives.

  • Social Innovation Thought Leaders are recognized experts and champions who are shaping and contributing to the evolution of the field.

  • Collective Social Innovators are cross-sector leaders who lead or facilitate a group of organizations committed to addressing a bigger problem than what an individual organization can undertake alone, using collective models to achieve systemic change.

Social entrepreneurs drive social innovation and transformation in fields such as education, health, environment and enterprise development. They pursue poverty alleviation goals with entrepreneurial zeal, business methods and the courage to innovate and overcome traditional practices.
